The virtual clinic of endometriosis – science project
Together with Dr. Agnieszka Chrobak from the Institute of Immunology and Experimental Therapy of the Polish Academy of Sciences launched the project "virtual clinic of endometriosis". The entrepreneur with the help of a scientist provides for the preparation portal "Virtual Clinic Endometriosis" and eventually creates software as a non-invasive diagnostic test for endometriosis based on an analysis of available literature data. The portal will be prescribed for patients with suspected endometriosis or already diagnosed with the disease. The woman will be able to ask a question about disturbing her symptoms anonymously, or after the registration. It will also be able to fill out a questionnaire, the results of which suggest how should worry its attendant symptoms. The patient will be guided by doctors from Wroclaw and the surrounding area who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of endometriosis. Scientists will help prepare the portal and create a poll allowing a preliminary diagnosis of the patient. The scientist will analyze all available data, disclosure of PubMed, in which there are potentially non-invasive markers of endometriosis and entrepreneur team using statistical analysis will be conducted, which will result in a mathematical model defining the probability of occurrence of endometriosis. The newly created portal also will aim to integrate the patients, doctors and scientists involved in endometriosis, because it will motivate physicians and scientists to collaborate on seeking new markers of disease and further joint work on understanding the etiopathogenesis of the disease. The project is implemented within the project Mozart organized by the Wroclaw Centre for Academic.
