Our business partners won at the European Economic Congress took place in Katowice on September 20-22, 2021 at International Congress Center.
It will gather business representatives, CEOs of global corporations, decision-makers from Poland, Europe and the world, politicians and experts who have a real impact on economic and social life, remaining one of the greatest types of economic meetings in Central Europe.
Last year’s, fifth edition met the evolution of the Polish start-up scene. The communities interested in economic and technological development met under the aegis of the new name, European Tech and Start-up Days. In 2020, we presented technology companies even more widely, including those that had their start and childhood behind them. The authors of innovations, knowledge, passion and openness are their hallmarks. That is why it is here that the most interesting contacts are established and horizons are broadened. He talks about unusual ideas. Their business potential is also measured here.
Last year, the European Tech and Start-up Days joined the European Economic Congress even more closely. “Tech” emphasizes the importance of technology as a platform for cooperation between companies – regardless of the scale of their operations, organizational structure, or market experience.
170 Startups Willing to Compete
That’s the number of submitted applications for this year’s edition of the Start-up Challenge competition.
Before the jury, the difficult task of assessing the best ideas, including breakthrough technological solutions in medicine, innovations with the use of artificial intelligence in the areas related to data and production, patents improving everyday life and many, many more.
Below is a list of the 100 most interesting start-ups of the Start-up Challenge competition submitted in 6 competition categories. The finals included the best 18 start-ups that fought to win in front of the participants of the largest business event in Central Europe – the European Economic Congress and the European Tech and Start-up Days, gathered at the International Congress Center in Katowice and present in front of the screens of computers, tablets and smartphones viewers of the competition’s Internet broadcasts.
CarcerCenter and IDENTT – Our People in The Finals
One of the startups taking part in the competition is Cancer Center, whose CEO is Piotr Krajewski from Stermedia. Piotr told how the Cancer Center supports cancer diagnostics in the area of imaging diagnostics (radiology and histopathology) through the use of artificial intelligence. He discussed a tool that allows you to view, annotate, comment, and share histopathological slides with a module of AI models supporting the doctor’s work. He answered the jury’s questions about the project. In the category of Health & Biotechnology won WARMIE – a system of remote and continuous monitoring of the temperature of wounds and the body of patients in order to detect infections. Congratulations!
Out of 18 nominees, our business partner IDENTT won first place in the Client & Lifestyle category. IDENTT provides a system equipped with algorithms supporting the identity verification process wherever identity confirmation is necessary for the customer service process. Automatic verification allows for more accurate and reliable document verification than using traditional methods. In combination with biometric checking of the image of a person, a company using Identt solutions has a much greater chance of detecting frauds.
