Stermedia Sp. z o.o., as the Consortium Leader, which includes: Stermedia Sp. z o.o., Affexy Sp. z o.o., and the Institute of Psychiatry and Neurology, is implementing a research project titled Developing a product innovation in the field of supporting diagnostics and treatment in primary health care, ambulatory specialist care (AOS) and hospital treatment.
The project is being implemented under agreement no. 2022/ABM/07/00012 - 00 for co-financing a commercial Project within the framework of Competition ABM/2022/7 for the development of innovative medical devices based on artificial intelligence for coordinating diagnostics and treatment in ambulatory specialist care and hospital treatment.
The aim of the project is to increase patient access and improve the diagnostic process of mental illnesses and disorders by developing and implementing the world's first automated system for analyzing diagnostic sessions between patients and doctors. The proposed diagnostic tool will be independent of factors that may affect the accuracy of diagnosis, such as specialist fatigue or patient dishonesty. The end result will be a system consisting of software and a camera dedicated to primary healthcare (POZ), which will make the patient's diagnosis more probable.
This goal will be achieved through the following outcomes:
• Quantitative determination of changes in patient-specialist communication during several visits • Extending the theory and methods of deep learning and complex dynamical systems to two modalities: text and video • Utilization of natural language processing and machine vision techniques to measure communication dynamics and interactions in real-time, under real-world conditions.
